This card was created for a Carol Duvall Show that will be aired this fall. Paper for the lavender flowers was painted with various colors of Dr. Ph. Martin's Iridescent Accents prior to punching. The Dragonfly was punched out of both silver paper and vellum; the wings were cut off the silver and the body was attached to the vellum. Air-dry clay was used to shape the flowerpot. Tabs were attached to the top and bottom of the pot to attach it to the card. Once each flower is layered, it is shaped by firmly pressing it into a soft carving eraser with the ball of a stylus. When creating dimensional paper art, use Crafter's Ultimate glue. It dries clear quickly and remains flexible so the flowers do not pop off the card. A self-closing tweezers is an important tool to use for this craft. The detail instructions can be found on the HGTV web site, show number 1152. The segment will air this fall. |
